Softball Recap: Bayside Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Bayside won the last time they faced Cocoa Beach and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bears blew past the Minutemen 15-1. The win was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

HALEIGH CURRY was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. CAYDEN PLATT was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Bayside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Bayside's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Cocoa Beach, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

Looking ahead, Bayside is taking a road trip to square off against Melbourne at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cocoa Beach, they will welcome Satellite at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Minutemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scorpions have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
