Softball Game Preview: Fountain Central Mustangs vs. Parke Heritage Wolves

Fountain Central hasn't had much luck against Parke Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 11:00 a.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Fountain Central is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tri-West Hendricks.

Meanwhile, Parke Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against South Putnam, falling 13-2.

Taya Sturmer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs.

Parke Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Fountain Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Fountain Central suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Parke Heritage when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
