Volleyball Recap: Nicholas County Takes a Loss

Nicholas County lost against Oak Hill back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 3-2. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Nicholas County took Oak Hill into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Hannah Thomas paced Nicholas County's offense, picking up 12 kills. Thomas got some help from Cami Prutsok and her 31 assists. Taylor White controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Nicholas County's loss dropped their record down to 9-30-1. As for Oak Hill, they moved to 16-23-4 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Nicholas County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Shady Spring on the 28th. Oak Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
