Baseball Recap: Sarasota Christian Drops Season-High Score on Gulf Coast HEAT

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sarasota Christian). They put the hurt on Gulf Coast HEAT with a sharp 18-2 victory on Thursday. The Blazers haven't had any issues with Gulf Coast HEAT recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Randall Collins was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Papineau, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Sarasota Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive games.

Sarasota Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
