Mountain View barely beat Payson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bruins put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bruins, who have now won three contests in a row.

While Mountain View won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-19.

Makai Wood paced Mountain View's offense, picking up ten kills. Wood were helped by Micah Fairbanks and Adam Maya, who contributed 17 assists each. Maya was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Mountain View now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Payson, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-5.

Mountain View has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Orem on the 10th. As for Payson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against East on the 10th.
