Basketball Recap: Stephens Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Stephens extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Kason Powell. The Stephens Roadrunners put the hurt on the Victory Christian Conquerors with a sharp 70-47 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Powell, who went 12 for 20 on his way to 28 points. The contest was his 15th in a row with at least ten points.

Stephens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Victory Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Stephens and Victory Christian will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. Victory Christian will head out to face Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Stephens will host them at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th.
