Volleyball Recap: Little Elm Takes a Loss

Little Elm suffered their biggest loss since August 12th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Braswell Bengals, falling 3-0. The Lobos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bengals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Little Elm saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kylee Knieriemen had 12 digs and three aces. Knieriemen has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played. Alyssa Snell also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Little Elm has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Braswell, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 12-13.

Little Elm has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Flower Mound on the 12th. As for Braswell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Lewisville on the 12th.
