Basketball Game Preview: Highland Huskies vs. Marlboro Central Dukes

Highland is 2-8 against Marlboro Central since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Highland Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Marlboro Central Dukes at 6:00 p.m. Marlboro Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Highland, who comes in off a win.

Highland will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Ellenville, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Highland walked away with a 56-44 victory over Ellenville on December 13th. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Marlboro Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Beacon.

Marlboro Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Highland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Highland couldn't quite finish off Marlboro Central in their previous matchup back in February and fell 46-43. Can Highland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
