Basketball Recap: Madison Central Takes a Loss

Madison Central was the 60-57 winner over Germantown when they last played one another on January 7th, but their luck changed this time around. The Madison Central Jaguars took a 55-38 bruising from the Germantown Mavericks on Friday.

Germantown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charlie Gamberine, who went 9 for 14 on her way to 21 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Benson, who went 6 of 12 en route to 14 points along with three steals and three blocks.

Madison Central's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Germantown, their record now sits at 13-10.

Madison Central has already played their next contest (against Clinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Germantown has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Tupelo.
