Softball Game Preview: Valor South Austin Falcons vs. Texas Wind

Valor South Austin hasn't had much luck against Texas Wind recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Valor South Austin will square off against Texas Wind at 6:00 p.m.

Valor South Austin fell victim to Veritas Academy and their airtight pitching crew last Friday. They came up short against Veritas Academy, falling 20-0.

Meanwhile, Texas Wind got the win against Bishop Reicher Catholic on Friday by a conclusive 15-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for Texas Wind.

Texas Wind got a massive performance out of Madelyne Morgan, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Morgan's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylie Mcdougal, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Morgan wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Texas Wind kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

Texas Wind now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Valor South Austin, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Valor South Austin might still be hurting after the 23-7 defeat they got from Texas Wind in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Valor South Austin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
