Softball Recap: Bishop Foley Ventures vs. Rochester Falcons
There's no place like home for Bishop Foley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Rochester Falcons on Wednesday as they made off with an 8-2 win. The Ventures not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 5th (when they won 7-1).
Sasha Walker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bishop Foley got a massive performance out of Leah Rovner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave Rovner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbey Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Bishop Foley's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Rochester, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-11.
Coming up, Bishop Foley will square off against Cabrini at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Ventures' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Monarchs have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Rochester, they will host Cousino at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
