1A Region 4 recap September 4, 2013
Bogue Chitto's Jermaine Blackwell rumbled for the longest rushing play in 1A Region 4 this season in his game against Enterprise last week. Blackwell ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 176 on the day as his team beat the Yellowjackets.
Joe Arnold and Zach Marsh provided fans with a highlight when they connected against West Marion. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 55 yards.
Dennis Rogers was the best wideout in the league this week as Bogue Chitto beat Enterprise. Rogers racked up 5 receptions for 90 yards. Damien Terrell helped Bogue Chitto's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 40 yards.
Javier Chavis made the biggest impact on defense this week as Lumberton fell to the Trojans. He.
Arnold put up the best numbers through the air as the Panthers fell to West Marion. He finished with a total of 5 completions for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns. Arnold's favorite target this week was Marsh, who caught 2 passes for 75 yards.
Tevin Moore was the best running back in 1A Region 4 this week. He ran for 233 yards on 23 carries as Stringer defeated Brooks Burns' team. Lorenzo Crosby also contributed to the rushing game with 143 yards on the ground.
Moore was a force in the backfield as the Red Devils beat Bay Springs.

An important game coming up this the league this week will be when Salem takes on Resurrection Catholic. As it stands, the Wildcats are in second, while the Eagles are in fourth.
Resurrection Catholic scaled the state rankings by moving to 180 from 228 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Scott Sisson's team was able to make move up by besting St. Patrick 35-0.
