Volleyball Recap: Sts. Peter & Paul Takes a Loss

If Sts. Peter & Paul was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Laurel last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sabres came up short against The Gunston School Herons on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Sabres haven't had much luck with the Herons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

While Sts. Peter & Paul was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-22.

Scotia Hopper was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Sts. Peter & Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for The Gunston School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-1.

Sts. Peter & Paul didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Salisbury Christian on the 22nd. The Gunston School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
