Volleyball Recap: Sts. Peter & Paul Sabres vs. The Gunston School Herons
If Sts. Peter & Paul was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Laurel last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sabres came up short against The Gunston School Herons on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Sabres haven't had much luck with the Herons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
While Sts. Peter & Paul was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-22.
Scotia Hopper was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played.
