Basketball Recap: Dekaney Comes Up Short

Dekaney was the 49-47 winner over Benjamin Davis when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dekaney Wildcats took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benjamin Davis Falcons on Wednesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Dekaney lost, don't look at Maya Shotwell. Despite the final result, she posted 23 points.

Dekaney's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Benjamin Davis, their win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-16.

Dekaney didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 36-31 victory against Eisenhower on the 25th. Benjamin Davis has also already played their next contest, a 61-46 defeat against Nimitz on the 25th.
