After a string of five wins, Carlisle's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 73-29 loss at the hands of the Barton Bears. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Bears are ranked 37th).

Carlisle's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Barton, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlisle will be home for the holidays to greet England at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Barton will take on Hazen in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Barton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Hazen likes a good challenge.
