Softball Recap: Santana Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

After losing to Granite Hills the last time they met, Santana decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Santana Sultans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Granite Hills Eagles on Saturday, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that the Sultans have won by just one run.

Ashlyn Darrow spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. Those hits were her first of the season.

The victory (which was Santana's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. As for Granite Hills, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Coincidentally, Santana and Granite Hills will both be playing La Costa Canyon the next time they take the field. Granite Hills will head out to face La Costa Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Santana will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
