There's no place like home for Westlake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Normandy Invaders by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Invaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Chris Campbell was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jake Jung, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Normandy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Westlake and Normandy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Demons (ranked 105th) will meet St. Ignatius (ranked eighth) at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Normandy will face off against Hoover at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (340 vs. 9).
