After a string of six wins, Rocklin's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Del Oro Golden Eagles by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Thunder have suffered since May 13, 2024.

Rocklin got a good showing from Andrew Hancock, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hancock has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Rocklin saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Rocklin's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Del Oro, their record now sits at 11-3.
