Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Troup took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-6 victory over Arp. The result was nothing new for Troup, who have now won three matchups by 36 points or more so far this season.

Troup's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Childress, who threw for 269 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. What's more, Childress racked up 163.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Brett Wells helped Childress out on the ground, rushing for 130 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries.

Troup's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Noble Kendrick, Caden Starkey, and Aiden Thibideaux, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Troup's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.2 points this season. As for Arp, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, Troup will head out to take on Elkhart at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
