Baseball Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell was the 8-3 winner over River Ridge when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 8-4 to the Royal Knights on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

AYDEN GAINS was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, JOHNATHON RODRIGUEZ was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for River Ridge, their record now sits at 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mitchell will challenge Hernando at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for River Ridge, they will take on Gulf at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Royal Knights are facing the Buccaneers at the right time seeing as the Buccaneers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
