Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Anna Norus and Addison Simmons Lead Jupiter Christian to Victory

Jupiter Christian won the last time they faced Master's Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Jupiter Christian Eagles took down the Master's Academy Patriots 34-20.

Leading Jupiter Christian to victory were Addison Simmons and Anna Norus. Simmons posted 15 points in addition to seven boards and four steals, while Norus had five points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Norus a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Albright, who put up two points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Jupiter Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Master's Academy had strong showings from Addison Bridwell, who posted no points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, and Phoenix Henderson, who had four points along with five rebounds and five steals. Henderson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last six games she's played.

Jupiter Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Master's Academy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-7.

Jupiter Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against Master's Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
