Baseball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

The Centennial Chargers lost 9-2 to the Marquette Crusaders on Saturday. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Centennial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cal Meyers, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Marquette, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3.

Looking ahead, Centennial will take on Urbana at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Marquette, they will square off against Tolono Unity at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
