Gulf Pointe Latin lost against West Florida Baptist Academy last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gladiators fell 3-1 to the Conquerors. The Gladiators' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: West Florida Baptist Academy scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17.

Gulf Pointe Latin's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they pushed their record up to 20-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gulf Pointe Latin will challenge East Hill Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Jay at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
