Recap: Aurora Central Trojans vs. Thornton Trojans        
        
		
            
 The Aurora Central Trojans had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with  a   79-68  win over Thornton  on Tuesday. The  win was just what Aurora Central needed coming off of a  72-31 loss in their prior  match.
 Aurora Central's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Charles Laurendine II, who  dropped  a triple-double on 19 points, 13  rebounds,  and ten  assists. Laurendine II has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last seven times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Camron Crisp, who  scored 21 points along with two  steals.
 Thornton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Adrian Armendariz, who  scored 16 points along with seven  assists and seven  rebounds. Armendariz is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alex Sandovol, who  scored 17 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.
 Aurora Central now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Thornton, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aurora Central will  square off against Standley Lake at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Colorado (Aurora Central is ranked 144th, while Standley Lake is ranked 148th). As for Thornton, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Highland at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Thornton focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
