Foothill has gone 9-1 against Red Bluff recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Foothill Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Red Bluff Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Red Bluff will be up against a hot Foothill squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Foothill narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Shasta 75-72. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Wolves are ranked 534th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Foothill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zane Miceli, who went 7 for 15 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Forward, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Red Bluff hadn't done well against Chico recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Red Bluff came out on top against Chico by a score of 64-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Foothill better focus on containing Bryce Owens and Cooper Sides as the pair were huge in Red Bluff's win. Owens almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds, while Sides went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Owens has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kayden Leaf, who posted 15 points.

Foothill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Red Bluff, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Foothill strolled past Red Bluff in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 59-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foothill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
