Basketball Recap: Asbury Park Comes Up Short

Asbury Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Monmouth Regional Falcons 75-41. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bishops of the 61-30 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Asbury Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Monmouth Regional, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Asbury Park will square off against Ocean Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monmouth Regional has already played their next match (against Long Branch), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
