Volleyball Recap: Zane Trace Pioneers vs. Huntington Huntsmen

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Zane Trace had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Huntington Huntsmen out 3-2. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Huntsmen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September.

Zane Trace wouldn't go down easily and took Huntington into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 15-8.

Kailee Johnson paced Zane Trace's offense, picking up 17 kills. Johnson got some help from Karlee Snavely and her 26 assists.

The win (which was Zane Trace's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-11. As for Huntington, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-4.

Zane Trace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Adena on the 31st. Huntington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
