Great Oak lost against Chaparral back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolfpack were dealt a 64-14 loss at the hands of the Pumas. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Pumas are ranked 31st).

Despite the defeat, Great Oak had strong showings from Trent Lux, who threw for 202 yards and one TD, and Carlos Carruego, who picked up 141 receiving yards. Carruego was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 54 yards.

Chaparral was led to victory by Dane Weber and Trevor Schneider. Weber threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, while Schneider rushed for 200 yards and one score on only 14 carries. With that strong performance, Schneider is now averaging an impressive 115 rushing yards per game. Tycen Johnson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.
