Basketball Recap: Whitewater Victorious

Mary Persons came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Whitewater, but Seyi Daramola wouldn't allow it. The Whitewater Wildcats strolled past the Mary Persons Bulldogs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-45 thanks in part to Daramola, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 boards. Those 23 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Allan Mangual, who posted three points and 17 rebounds. Mangual is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season.

Whitewater's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Mary Persons, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Spalding the next time they take the court. Mary Persons will host Spalding at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Whitewater will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
