Basketball Recap: Hornbeck Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stanley last Tuesday, Hornbeck came back down to earth. The Hornbeck Hornets took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ebarb Rebels. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Hornbeck's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Ebarb, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 16-20.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hornbeck will square off against Evans at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. Hornbeck is facing Evans at the right time seeing as Evans is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ebarb, they will take on Anacoco at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
