Softball Recap: Pinckney Beats Bedford for Their Third Straight Win

Pinckney entered their tilt with Bedford on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Kicking Mules. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Kicking Mules, too.

Natally Pease made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mackenzie Burns was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Shelby Tomshany also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Pinckney's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Bedford, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3-1.

Pinckney will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Kicking Mules: the pair will be back at it again later today.
