Volleyball Recap: Olton Mustangs vs. Ropes Eagles

Olton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of the Ropes Eagles by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Olton actually scored more points across those five sets (103-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, 16-25, 15-10.

Ropes found their leader in underclassman Vivian Gallegos, who had 14 digs and three aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Gallegos.

As for Ropes, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Post at 12:00 p.m. Post will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ropes surely won't give up without a fight.
