Basketball Recap: Austintown-Fitch's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Austintown-Fitch extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Rachel Spalding. The Austintown-Fitch Falcons came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 36-35 W against the South Range Raiders thanks in part to Spalding, who posted 13 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Liz Spalding, who had eight points and six rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The win got Austintown-Fitch back to even at 11-11. As for South Range, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Austintown-Fitch will look to defend their home court on February 19th against Euclid at 7:00 p.m. Austintown-Fitch is facing Euclid at the right time seeing as Euclid is stuck on a three-game losing streak. South Range does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
