Baseball Recap: Rosemont Finds Home Field Redemption Against Galt

There's no place like home for Rosemont, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Galt Warriors on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won four matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Gavin Terry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one RBI. Rosemont is 4-2 when Terry posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-2-1 otherwise.

In other batting news, James Lara was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Rosemont: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-4-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Patrick Gorman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Rosemont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Galt only posted an OBP of .263.

Rosemont now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Galt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Rosemont will face off against El Dorado at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosemont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Galt, they will take on Bradshaw Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
