Softball Recap: Eastern Alamance Has No Trouble Against Williams

Eastern Alamance never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Williams Bulldogs as the Eastern Alamance Eagles made off with a 16-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the game before.

Olivia Foster and Addison Hester did most of the damage at the plate: Foster went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI, while Hester scored three runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Hester a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Kayden Manning, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Eastern Alamance's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Williams, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Eastern Alamance will take on Cedar Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Williams, they will square off against Person at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Williams has given up an average of 19.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
