Basketball Recap: St. Anne Catholic Eagles vs. Lee Park Prep Knights
The St. Anne Catholic Eagles lost against the Lee Park Prep Knights back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Anne Catholic was dealt a 70-33 loss at the hands of the Knights. St. Anne Catholic has struggled against the Knights recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Lee Park Prep to victory were Cole O' Donoghue and Isaac Watkins. O' Donoghue dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Watkins went 7 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 5 assists. O' Donoghue also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Tyson, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five blocks.
St. Anne Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lee Park Prep, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Providence Classical the next time they take the court. St. Anne Catholic will host the at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
