Baseball Recap: Fulshear Takes a Loss

Fulshear has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They fell just short of the Huntsville Hornets by a score of 10-8. That's two games in a row now that the Chargers have lost by exactly two runs.

Caden Hoff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden LaRue, who went 3-for-5 with one RBI.

Fulshear has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-9-1 record this season. As for Huntsville, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-13-1.

Looking ahead, Fulshear will square off against Alief Elsik at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Huntsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against A&M Consolidated at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
