Piedmont Hills was forced to take a big loss against they on Monday, they got the better of them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Prospect Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Panthers on Monday, they had to take a 13-6 defeat.

Piedmont Hills let Alex Tran and Josh Gomez run wild. Tran went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Gomez went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Tran has posted since back in April.

Piedmont Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Prospect, they moved to 16-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
