Lake Highlands waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They slipped by the Richardson Eagles 65-64. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-54 back in January.

Lake Highlands is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Richardson, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-10.

Lake Highlands and Richardson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Lake Highlands will take on Irving at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 702 places (48 vs. 750). Similarly, Richardson (ranked 80th) will meet MacArthur (ranked 710th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
