Volleyball Recap: Paige Arentz and Abigail Barthelemy Secure Win for Grafton

Grafton waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Kewaskum Indians. For the Black Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Leading Grafton to victory were Abigail Barthelemy and Paige Arentz. Barthelemy had 13 digs and four aces, while Arentz had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Arentz has posted over her last six matchups. Abigail Marti also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Grafton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive contests.

Grafton's record now sits at 15-5. As for Kewaskum, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Grafton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against New Berlin Eisenhower on the 20th. As for Kewaskum, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Beaver Dam on the 20th.
