While Simi Valley put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Camarillo. The Pioneers came out on top against the Scorpions by a score of 3-0. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Scorpions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jackson Goshorn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Simi Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rowan Schmidt, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Simi Valley's record is now 10-5. As for Camarillo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Simi Valley will face off against Santa Monica at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pioneers 2.8, the Vikings 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Camarillo, they will challenge Sierra Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
