Soccer Recap: Morenci's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Morenci's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Globe Tigers onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The Wildcats wouldn't have won without Armando Lopez Rivera, who scored the game-winner.

With the victory, Morenci broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4. As for Globe, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morenci will venture away from home to take on Desert Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Globe, they are taking a road trip to challenge Apache Junction at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
