Softball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Bradley-Bourbonnais lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Coal City, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. Bradley-Bourbonnais' pitcher stepped up to hand Coal City a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Boilermakers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Lydia Hammond made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single hit, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bella Pusateri, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Bristol Schriefer, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Bradley-Bourbonnais kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.
