Softball Recap: Palma Find Success

After losing to Everett Alvarez the last time they met, Palma decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Chieftains came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chieftains.

Sophia Cardinale spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Analysia Rocha, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Urmanita, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Palma's record is now 7-14-1. As for Everett Alvarez, they dropped their record down to 15-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Palma nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
