Basketball Recap: Humble Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Humble duked it out withSilsbee on Friday. The Humble Wildcats took a 77-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silsbee Tigers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Tigers are ranked 607th).

Humble's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Silsbee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Humble will be home for the holidays to greet Atascocita at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Humble's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games. As for Silsbee, they will venture away from home to square off against Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
