Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West End). They enjoyed a cozy 38-20 win over the Ider Hornets on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Brodie Mass threw for 167 yards and four TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. Brayden Mitchell was his top target, picking up 82 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. On the ground, Fysher Patterson rushed for 139 yards and one score while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.

With the victory, West End broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. As for Ider, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, West End will face off against Coosa Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' defense better be ready for this one: the Conquerors have averaged an impressive 36.2 points per game this season. As for Ider, they will challenge Spring Garden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
