League recap: Bross throws longest pass in league this season for Eisenhower

Fans got a thrill when Bently Bross and Z'quan Hogan connected against Putnam City North. The connection went for 67 yards, the longest such play in 6A District 3 this season.

Midwest City was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Edmond North. The Bombers came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 36 last week.

John Kolar was a passing and rushing force as Norman North topped Moore. He completed 13 passes for 242 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 37 yards. Kolar's favorite target this week was Hogan, who caught 3 passes for 100 yards.

Hogan was the best wideout in the league this week as the Timberwolves defeated the Lions. Hogan tallied 3 receptions for 100 yards. Nick Ba8quine helped Norman North's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 87 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Norman North's David Cornwell and Ba8quine have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-5 quarterback Cornwell has thrown for 1,445 yards this season, while Ba8quine has 46 catches for 872 yards. Eisenhower's Jarvis Jaskson leads the league in rushing yards with 840.

As it stands, the Eagles are in sixth, while Wade Standley's team is in second.

There should be lots of points scored when Eisenhower and the Timberwolves face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Boone Copeland's team comes in having scored 243 this season, while Norman North has scored 359. The Eagles scored 47 points last week as they bested the Panthers.

Eisenhower made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,762 from 4,340. The improvement was the result of a 47-7 victory over Putnam City North last week.
