Soccer Recap: Davie Comes Up Short

Davie entered their matchup against East Forsyth on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The War Eagles fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. Davie were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced East Forsyth earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Sarah Andrade and Makenna McGowan scored both of Davie's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Davie's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3-3. As for East Forsyth, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-3-1.

Davie will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. West Forsyth will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Davie surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Forsyth, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Mount Tabor on the 21st.
