Baseball Recap: Longmont Trojans vs. Silver Creek Raptors

Longmont couldn't beat Silver Creek on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Trojans took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raptors. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Raptors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Longmont got a good showing from Bryce Smaic, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Smaic gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Longmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mac Paddock, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Longmont's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Silver Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
