Volleyball Recap: Make It Ten in a Row for Gideon

Gideon entered their tilt with Holcomb on Saturday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 11th.

Gideon not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Holcomb between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16.

Leading Gideon to victory were Aubree Sharp and Jalynn Ford. Sharp had 28 assists and seven digs, while Ford had eight digs and three assists. Sharp is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 21 games she's played dating back to last season.

Gideon's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Holcomb, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Gideon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Risco on the 27th. As for Holcomb, they will square off against North Pemiscot at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
